Apr 3, 2008 - Club Meeting Minutes
 Everyone,
Empire Z held it's monthly meeting last night (3 Apr).
Two club officers were present; Jerry & Dick. Chuck was not able to get off work, Gerry was out of town on business and Tony had a prior
commitment.
There were a total of 19 "Z" cars present at the meet.
Two new members joined the club; Alain E. and Sean C. This is especially noteworthy because at present, neither of these new members owns a "Z"
car, but both plan to buy one ASAP. We can thank John M. and Allan M. for recruiting these new members.
 We had a US Army visitor drive down from Ft. Irwin to "check us
out". He was driving a nice red "slicktop". Jeff, we appreciate you driving so far to visit our club, hope you come back soon and join us and
 thanks for your service to our country.
Dustin finally joined the Z32 ranks again and drove his newly acquired 93 "slicktop" to the meeting. What makes this noteworthy is the fact that
Greg P. also drives a "slicktop", so we had a total of three at the meeting. That's gotta be some kind of record for the club. 
Charles and Anna Park along with Greg P. and friend joined us from San Diego. We appreciate these folks taking on the long drive up here, especially
on a week night.
To their dismay  many members were under the impression that last
night's meeting was supposed to be the one that the club buys dinner for paid-up members at Hooters. Sorry for the mix-up, but that free meal
will be next month's meeting on May 1, 2008. I believe part of the mix up is because Chuck mentioned at the last meeting he was going to contact the
Manager at Hooter's to set everything up, hopefully for the meeting this month. Turns out the manager was not there so the arrangements had to be
slipped to the May meeting.

Don't know if its too late to sign up or not. Empire Z usually meets and Denny's on the Car Show day (Apr 27th) and caravans down to the meet.
Check back - there will be a post concerning this.
Next Empire Z Car Event - 7th Annual Mountain Cruise

We meet at Denny's and cruise up to Big Bear Lake and have FREE (for paid-up members) pizza and drinks. Then we do the "twisties" coming down from
Big Bear through Lake Silverwood and end the run at US 138 and Interstate 15.
Speaking of Club Dues - they were due in March. We now have 24 paid-up members, 6 of which are new members. Remember, to take
advantage of the free meals, parts discounts, etc., you must be a paid up member. So, if haven't do so already, please renew your membership. We
would appreciate it if you would complete a new application form so that we have current information about you and your "Z" car. There is an
on-line form that you can fill out and mail in with your dues >HERE<
Guess that's it for this month, hope to see everyone at Motorsports.
