July 6, 2006 Club Meeting Minutes
Wow. Just when we were all bummed about club
attendance being down, we have an awesome turnout. I
counted 22 cars at 9pm when I left. I don't know if
others showed up later. The 350Z's really had a
terrific turnout with 7 cars, 5 240's, 8 Z32's and 2
Z31's. Lots of new faces out there. It was great to
see everyone showing off their beauties.
More Activities:
Members are asking for more events. We asked several
members for their input and received the following
ideas:
1. Meet at Kart track before next scheduled meet
2. Switch up meeting spots
3. Schedule additional fall run
4. Poker runs
Please submit your idea so that we can announce it to
everyone.
Announcements:
Sad News: Our Vice President Rick Negrette announced
that he will not be running for re-election at the end
of his term. He will continue to be an EmpireZ member
so he won't be totally gone. Thank you Rick for all
your support. Rick has done a great job bringing up
our sponsorship program that we all benefit from.
On a good note, one of our members Jerry Mallard
picked up a gorgeous Z32 this week. Did you all get a
chance to see it? I am going to have to call him out
and ask that he submit it for our Featured Ride
section of the next newsletter.
We are setting up a Kart day next month before our
meet at http://www.racep2r.com I need those of you who are
interested to email me so that I can reserve our
spots. I will send out some more info later in the
week (cost, time, location).
Please don't forget to come out to our Annual Picnic
on August 13th. Free for members and $5 for others.
Shirts: We are taking orders for shirts. Email any of
the officers with your shirt preference and size.
