Warning: Don't use Fix-a-flat on your chrome wheels

Well as you all might know, I had a flat tire on the day of our picnic. I took the tire to wheel shop today and they said that the leak was caused by using Fix-a-flat. They said that it breaks down the chrome and eventually the seal of the tire. I never used the product so the previous owner put it in there at some time. It is very obvious, on the places where the chrome is peeling, you can see the left-over Fix-a-flat ooze through the tire seal. The only way to fix the tire is to remove all the old chrome that is peeling. So basically it sounds like I'm going to have to get those wheels repolished sooner than I thought.

I thought the wheel shop was BS'n until I found this post on the net so it sounds like it's the real deal.
