HOT! HOT! HOT!

I am wondering, is it normal for the part that is on the left side of the shift box to get hot? My part gets very hot, from the left of the shift box, to the front, where it curves up to the left of the radio bezel. It ususally only happens when it is very hot outside. My temp gauge stays normal, though. This is my third summer with my car, and it's always done it, and it's always been fine afterwards.

It's pretty normal.. the heat is coming from the tranny.

Just make sure your tranny has been serviced and isn't running super hot.

Mine gets hot sometimes too. Just make sure you've changed the fluids and also make sure your dust boot is still good cause a busted dust boot can let in a lot of heat.

And if it really bugs you.. you can always upgrade to a bigger tranny-cooler.

Or do what I do and sit in the back seat and drive.

Woot. #300. Savor the flavor.

Yeah use that excuse when you get pulled over. "Hello officer I had to speed otherwise my tranny would overheat." Lol.
