I apologize but I just realized that I did not post minutes for last month's meet. As many of you can attest, we were all quite taken back by Ron
Redden's passing. I want to thank everyone who contributed that night to Ron charity (The Burn Institute). As a group, we were able to collect $160
that night which I think is pretty awesome considering we gave no notice of the collection. Chuck and Dick were present at his memorial and gave our
donation to his family. In the short time that Ron was a member, he contributed quite a bit. He always came to every meeting, was active in the
decision making for the club and most recently, he helped obtain the room at Hooters for us so that we could have our clinic with Charles Park last
night. In the near future, we will have some discussions about organizing a run in his honor.
For October's meet, we had a pretty good turnout of about 20 members and visitors despite a very chilly evening. We were able to fill the Hooters
patio pretty well. The feedback from our members regarding the clinic was overwhelmingly positive. I'm definately savinig my pennies for the 4200
kit. A huge thanks to Charles, his wife, and business partner (sorry, I don't know his name) for making their 125 mile commute to see us. The
presentation was very professtional and extremely informative to all our members, regardless of which model Z we were driving. I saw Chuck take
several pictures so I'm hoping he posts some soon.
On another positive note, I spoke to Sebastian Chacoff of SpecialtyZ, and he has agreed to come out to one of our future clinics. For those that
don't know who SpecialtyZ is, they are the premier Z32 tuning shop in the US with a worldwide following. More info to come soon..
Spec Z is coming out??? Aw! Just when I have to move!
Yes, I talked to Seb a little more this past week. He is up to coming over during our December meet to show us their new brake kit and go over any topics. I just need to run this by the rest of the club officers to see if this date works out with them.
